I always end up ignoring my LJ even though I've promised - time and time again - that if ever I would let this thing die, I'd let it die with dignity and not with a fangirly sequence as my last post.

Anyway, it's been half a month since Jonshine's returned and I'm still welcoming home, while simultaneously enjoying the gorgeous, gorgeous gifts he got me from the States. My favorite is, of course, the set of journals he ordered from eBay while there. <3 They're fantastic! Leatherbound, Hardcover, Lined, No straps... All my criteria were met, hee. I have two pages to go in my other journal. It's just about ready for retirement since the spine is kind of loose.

I've been enjoying my extended break, and have been using the extra time to cook and bake with Jonat. For the first time, we tried a recipe not taught to us by Yay: Red Velvet Cupcakes! Everyone liked them so we whipped up another batch yesterday for my extended family. We'll be bringing them to my grandma's house in a few hours. :) 'Til then, I will be suffering from another bout of cupcake mania.

I'm not ready for school, but oh well. This sem will certainly be different from the rest.

P.S. Finished World War Z. I love it to pieces.

Last night, I went with my cousins to watch David Cook and David Archuleta perform on the open grounds of Mall of Asia. I'd been looking forward to it for a long time, especially since I paid a whopping amount of money to get a good ticket (I'm still paying it off until now, actually. Haha!). My mom was going, too, but with her friends since they got even more expensive seats.

Honestly, though, I've never been a big fan of the two. I did like them both in American Idol but I suppose it's my fault I don't really... Keep up with the latest trends in music. Secondly, I'm not a regular concert-goer either. The last concert I'd been to was with Kat: a free one by M2M, and that was in third grade. Needless to say, I didn't know what to expect.

:D Long long loooong Recap! )

It was definitely an amazing night for everyone, even me, who, sheepishly, didn't know a lot of the songs. At least I wasn't completely lost! We talked about the concert the entire time while heading back to my grandma's house. Dropped off Mica and then I got down to wait for my mom. She arrived pretty late and we got home at 2:00 AM already.

I was a bit sad, thinking I'd missed Jonat going online (he was probably boarding the Alaskan cruise ship at that point, I thought) but to my surprise, he went on to chat with me. :3 It definitely made my night even better, and I told him all about the concert. Wished he was there, but there'll be more concerts to come (hopefully). Jason Mraz, anyone?

Jonat's probably on the ship right now, staring at the ocean or something. I hope he comes across good-looking German man who might seem like captains, like in Ikoku Irokoi Romantan. XD 8547 km (5311 miles) away. He was actually farther when he was in LA, but right now, it seems like we're in opposite ends of the world. I can't wait for him to return. :) 15 days!

Sooo my weekend was good because I got to sleep over at my cousin Jacpat's house. We mostly watched movies but that never gets old for us, anyway. I even started going to mass again! I plan to go regularly because it does make me feel more spiritual afterward.

But then, disaster struck, as it always does after something immensely good happens. I was just working in the afternoon yesterday while my mom and brother went out (apparently to see a counselor) and my brother called me, saying he was moving out. Apparently they got into a fight, so basically, it's just my mom and I left here in a house for five. I won't even go into all the other problems my family's having.

In the midst of all that, however, I have found an actual job. This is my third job and for once I actually feel like I'm employed. I work as a Managing Editor for a bookstore and basically I write short reviews for all sorts of books, and those are posted on their website. It's pretty cool and today, I just picked up my first batch of assigned books. I've already started reading one. More on that later, I suppose.

I actually had this huge celebratory post ready for yesterday, but LJ ate it up again. DX Ugh. I already sent a complaint but I don't expect a response. Oh, well.

So basically, it's been a while. the part I've been dreading has happened: my beloved/best friend has gone to America (and Canada) for a month, and therefore I will be Jonat-less for all of May. =P I find myself backtracking to a much darker time, when the same thing happened from March whatever to April who-knows-when; Jonat had left for Europe and all I did was watch Friends and Rent repeatedly, while letting negative thoughts fester within my brain. I almost slipped back into that routine last week, listening to Bare: A Pop Opera (and I'm actually watching Friends again). This time, however, I promised to be a lot more productive, and so far, I think I've been doing well.

This is how my day usually goes:

10:00AM-12:00PM - Wake up, chat with Jonat (who's in LA)
12:00PM-2:00PM - Use the internet
2:00PM-3:00PM - Practice driving
3:00PM-5:00PM - Clean/Re-organize my room (Progress: 53% ; it's been four days since I started)
5:00PM-6:00 PM - Bike around the village, while listening to anime soundtracks. They pump me up. Yay exercise!
6:00PM-12:00AM - Rest and do whatever

I hope to become more fit and get my driver's license by the end of the month! On Thursdays and Sundays, I also play badminton with my family.

Yesterday had a different routine, however. Aside from Cinco de Mayo, I celebrated Syao's birthday!
Happy First Birthday, Syao!

Syao turned one yesterday, and since she was all alone in Jonat's house, I visited her and threw a little party. I put a candle on a cupcake and lit it~ The best part is that Jonat was able to see everything via webcam, so technically, he was there in spirit. Syao looked very pleased! I plan to visit her again soon, so she won't be as lonely. :)

Hope everyone's doing well! 27 days

Katrina Kae Cervantes Verdote, my best friend since first grade, would've turned 19 today. <3

I'll be visiting your house when it's daylight~

Know that until now, I always, always think of you and miss you very much.
